Blog #8

I agree with this I thought this was a free country I would have never thought that the US would target just once race. I am not sure I understand the whole presses all I know is most of my family is Mexican although I am not, and it is not fair to them to be looked down upon. They are just as good and hard working as anyone else. I feel like it is all about stereotype these days. I really wish it was not.

I agree that it is very sad that society has come to this, why we would have to step down and start adding all these things to be safe. I wish we really would all get along. I do believe that adding the metal detesters and x-ray will take away from the peacefulness of the capital. I do believe that most people will stop going as much because of this being added, I like the fact I can go somewhere and not feel like I am being attached in some way because of something someone else did wrong to mess up this country.

Blog Stage 7

I believe that this is a lot said in this article called “Political rumors undergo the truth tests.” I do not think it was the best article ever written talking about rumors because I don’t think it went to far in depth about rumors. Why did the author not talk about how they affect people or how this can change the way of a political party? How could they not through in more facts when it is clear to us all that this is the number one thing that is happening around the world. I don’t think this was the worst article ever written but it has given more facts to back up what they believe. The author talks about the truth test that was given “own homegrown politicians' claims. Their score card varies from "True" all the way to "Pants on Fire" The author doesn’t talk much about how they feel about this topic. It only gives a website that then makes you go into having to look up more info. Why in the world couldn’t they be that lazy to not tell us right of the bat? Could this be because they don’t have enough info or even background to back them up? I just feel like the author though some false statements together and then told some truth on what the matter was really about and left it at that.

Blog Stage 5

This commentary article that I read called “ Political Rumors undergo the truth test” was about how these days rumors can be spread very fast now days because we have so much access to us such as websites, and channels. How fast things can be said over a matter of hours. There was one rumor how Obama is a Muslim , and how bush didn’t want to sell this house to an African American. The article also talks about most of theses are far more than just a rumor, but it can cause controversy. Most of these rumors will back fire and not do any good to the people. It also talks about how some news articles can keep things that are so old and still false allegations. “While there are some national Web sites separating fact from fiction in a blizzard of political claims, there has been very little consistent review at the state level.” “So I was thrilled when the Austin American Statesman recently teamed up with Politifact.com to run regular truth tests on our own homegrown politicians' claims. Their score card varies from "True" all the way to "Pants on Fire" The article also talks about how there was more than one party attached to these claims there for how could one have a strong back ground on a situation. There was a lot of talk about he said she said, and a lot of not really understanding on topics that go around the web.

Blog Stage 4

This was a very interesting article blog that Debra Medina seems to hit the target of people with her argument talking about 9-11 truthers, and if the government had any part in this. She seems to be talking to the people who have said rumors that she believes the government had a part in blowing up the World Trait Centers. She never states if she really believes in this or not. Which from a person listening to this may just go ahead and assume she believes this to be true? She does say that there are no facts that the government did not take a part therefore stating her claim she does not really have an answer. I never would have thought about this topic I guess because in my world I would like to think the government does no harm. I put my faith in them like I am sure most of us do, in to keep us safe. I do see most of her argument though she does not seem to rush into things not knowing more facts. Glenne Beck did her interview and seems to have the same understanding that I had on her statement. He did a great job with taking in everything she had to say and understanding her tone of voice and outcomes. Glenne seems to get a little upset at her answer because he says that she answers with a vague response. Not really getting to the point and wanting to know more, he seem to have gotten a little upset with her not spilling the beans. As most bloggers would do wanting to know the best answer, and she is holding back.

I liked this article about voting for chair man, and voting an general the author gives great option on the subject of race and voting. The authors intended audience was those who vote. The authors claim was that most people did not even vote for this past election and that every race counts to make a difference in a vote. The author stated that, Democrats who take the Democratic primary for granted are taking unnecessary risks with their votes. We shouldn't take anything for granted when we go to the polls because nobody really knows what crossing over for one race will do.” I agree with this article because I think that there’s a big difference and two people voting verses one. This is a great article in the Austin Americans States Men called,” Why Democrats shouldn't cross over to vote in the GOP primary.” I believe that this article also talks a lot about ones race and voting more on a look then how someone is running as Democrats. I do believe that this is another proven fact about how the world has not changed all the way. This in a lot of ways if wrong to vote for someone on a look verses how they act or treat are country.

Blog Stage 2 New Post

The website I located for my blog was The Voice of Wilderness. This was a great article that caught my eye about schools and how they should give a receipt to the tax payers. MqSullivan says, “The bill if passed would be called the Strama’s bill.” This bill would require the state schools to give a financial statement that would show what they have spent our taxes money one. It would show if the school bought books, playground equipment, and such things as supplies. This statement also known as a receipt would be given every month to the tax payers. It would also show all the checks that have been written and the credit card transactions.
