Blog Stage 5

This commentary article that I read called “ Political Rumors undergo the truth test” was about how these days rumors can be spread very fast now days because we have so much access to us such as websites, and channels. How fast things can be said over a matter of hours. There was one rumor how Obama is a Muslim , and how bush didn’t want to sell this house to an African American. The article also talks about most of theses are far more than just a rumor, but it can cause controversy. Most of these rumors will back fire and not do any good to the people. It also talks about how some news articles can keep things that are so old and still false allegations. “While there are some national Web sites separating fact from fiction in a blizzard of political claims, there has been very little consistent review at the state level.” “So I was thrilled when the Austin American Statesman recently teamed up with Politifact.com to run regular truth tests on our own homegrown politicians' claims. Their score card varies from "True" all the way to "Pants on Fire" The article also talks about how there was more than one party attached to these claims there for how could one have a strong back ground on a situation. There was a lot of talk about he said she said, and a lot of not really understanding on topics that go around the web.
